There are too many records I haven't heard enough of (or at all), but right now my favourites are that Mogwai album, the new Low, Subrosa's No Help for the Mighty Ones, and Jessica Lea Mayfield's Tell Me.

Oh, good, I'm glad someone else likes the Mogwai. Let's see, I know i listened to the Low three or four times, but I can't remember it knocking me over, haven't heard the other two.

I'm kind of embarrassed about how much I like this Washed Out, but it's not coming out until July so no need to go public yet.

I'm not sure how you feel about female-sung doom metal with electric violins (and hence Subrosa), but I suspect you'd get at least a little bit of a kick out of the Mayfield. Whatsisface from the Black Keys produced, but don't hold that against her. It's sorta country, sorta gothy, sorta poppy. It's grown on me like crazy, and now it's fighting for my #1 spot. If you're interested and can't find it, let me know.

Washed Out, eh? I know very little about them.

Yeah, I remember Blurt went pretty ape-shit about her first album, but I wrote it off to their preoccupation with skinny red-headed alt.country singers. But if you say it's good, sure, I'd like to hear it.

Washed Out is sort of a poster child for glo-wave, a genre that I've had very little patience with so far, but I freaking love a couple of the songs on the new one. You want to hear it?

Definitely! Let's swap.

Oh, and the EMA album, which I can't believe I forgot. So that's five #1s so far.

People have been talking about that EMA record. I'd like to hear that, too, if you get a chance.

So Washed Up, anything else on the list you're curious about?

Actually, the rest of the list that I'm interested in, I've already got. I've been away for a few days, but I'll upload those two later today...

Thanks and no hurry at all.

(I've got 400 songs on my "stuff I should be listening to" nano at the moment.)
