Psych folk super-duo’s eerie drones

I've got another of those PopMatters blog posts to share with you all...

Anahita "a new collaboration between Espers cellist Helena Espvall and Fursaxa’s Tara Burke, a fragile, unearthly combination of female life forces that takes shape in floating vocals, plinking strings and Middle Eastern tonalities."

"Pirin Planina"

"Chalice of Cypress"

"Velvet Shoon"

The government wants you to know...

Many of the albums and dvds that I review are sent to me, free, by record labels and bands. Also many more that I do not review. Sometimes I get into shows free, too.
