Found this video for "Take Drugs"
Crazy stuff.
I'm interviewing Dan Bitney from Tortoise in a couple of hours. Feel free to submit questions if you like, they can't be any stupider than the ones I've got.
I'm thinking of headlines..."Tortoise inches ahead" "Tortoise comes out of its shell" "Tortoise bludgeons hare to a pulp..."

I kind of love that video. No questions, sorry, I don't really know Tortoise's stuff.
I'm so glad you liked it. There's something about it that perfectly evokes taking drugs, at least as I remember it, a long time ago, the thing where you're not sure whether your hands are moving or it's just in your head, and either way, it's okay, no problem.
Not that I do that anymore. I'm coaching middle school track now and, of course, resolutely anti- any kind of drugs.
Except red wine, which I've had a little too much of already, can you tell?
i did muddle through with the Tortoise interview.
Oh come on, red wine isn't a drug - it's legal!
But yeah, definitely agreed about the Factums video. It kind of reminds me of Liars' awesomely creepy one for "Plaster Casts of Everything" which also seems kind of druggy albeit in a much more bad-trip kind of way.
And in a completely different way, the title track from Mountains' Choral feels exactly like a drug high, which is unexpected and awesome. Not that (if my parents stumble onto this) I've ever done any drugs, no sir. That would be wrong.
Is red wine legal now? God, why doesn't anyone tell me these things. What about beer?
and, yes, I assume, Ian, that everything you know about drugs comes from watching Altered States 28 times in a row...and also reading Fear and Loathing obsessively.
That Mountains is awfully pretty music...reminds me of waking up on top of a green hill at sunrise.
