Suckers

I'm really not sure about Sucker's whole new album, which is called Candy Salad and came out last week on the FrenchKiss label. It's a kind of super-hyper, super anthemic pop...you know, sad songs that make you want to pump your fist in the air (and then nervously take it down before you think anyone has noticed). Anyway, some of it seems to try too hard, some of it doesn't quite gel, but I do really like a couple of the cuts, most particularly jaunty, jittery "Figure It Out". Here they are playing it live:
