My uncle died over the weekend and I'm driving to Toronto tomorrow for the funeral. He was a really lovely man, very polite and kind and sweet...I hadn't seen him in about five years. He'd been sick for a while, but still died suddenly.
I'm not sure whether I'll be online or not, but let's just assume not. I should be back home late Friday.

Sorry to hear it. Hope the visit to Canada isn't entirely horrible!
Oh, I think it will be kind of nice, in a way, since I'll get to see my immediate family (parents and one brother) and my aunt and cousins. Of course, it's a really sad occasion, but it will be good to see people. I'm a little worried about the drive by myself, but I suppose that will be okay, too.
I'm so sorry, Jenny. I hope that the trip and arrangements and family time go well, though.
