Nice interview. I'm still not too sure about the new album. I like the first CD but I haven't got much further than that.

P.S. New jesu album out today.

hey Jen, this is a great interview! I've read Millions talking to people before and his answers were just oblique to be difficult. Looks like you got good copy! I am a bit sad with the answers though, especially that they have a warehouse load of tracks recorded that they could use for the third installment. I thought that it might all be a bit more deliberate - though I guess picking the tracks and form will involve a lot of deliberation.

My impression from listening to the Human Factor was that they gave it that title becuase it is musically the most awkward and vocally the most alienating track on there. It fits with their sense of humour or irony.

also - I find the sitar playing a bit weak, like they're just flailing at the strings a little unsubtly. Seriously, I can play better than that! So, Oneida, if your reading and want a sitar player for KYP.3, I can kick the eastern drone into outerspace for you.

This is one of my favourite albums of the year. This is what serious fun sounds like!

Oh thanks, guys.

Meatbreak, I've read those interviews, too. You can't really object, because it's part of their shtick. For some reason, they've always been super, super nice to me...this is maybe the third time I've interviewed them, and it's always been really interesting and fun and fairly down to earth.

Oh, yeah, and if I get a chance, I will tell them you want to play sitar next time.

Jesu, awesome!

The best band in the world? I dunno, but they're certainly one of the most interesting. The Wedding is a favorite of mine. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the trilogy. Anyway, good interview with the band!

Well, they are definitely my favorite band, so in this tiny corner of the critical world, they are the best band. My favorite Onedia albums, which move around quite a bit depending on which I've listened to last are: Anthem of the Moon, The Wedding, Atheists Reconsider (a split with Liars), Secret Wars and Happy New Year.

Your mileage may differ, as they say.
