Really? Dog Poisons in my pile of when-I-get-around-to-it stuff. Sounds like it's time to get-around-to-it.

It's a good year when I only leave three or four brilliant albums that become all-time favorites later off my year-end list.

I never heard about the God's Gift reissue. I'll have to check that out.

i'd have to agree with a lot of that... don't think i can be assed doing one this year... if i did "Carboniferous" by Zu would definitely be in there...

The Gods Gift is awesome. My favorite song on it is "Discipline."

Haven't heard the Zu.

Sorry, a bit late here. I liked the Tyvek and The Bats albums a lot as well, and the second half of Akron/Family. I still need to listen to The Clean. Everyone tells me that it's good. Mine would be something like this:

1. De Rosa - Protection
2. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone vs. Children
3. The Phantom Band - Checkmate Savage
4. Nightingales - Insult To Injury
5. Meth Teeth - Everything Went Wrong
6. Alasdair Roberts - Spoils
7. Sunset Rubdown - Dragonslayer
8. Pere Ubu - Long Live Pere Ubu
9. Jesu - Infinity
10. Micachu - Jewellery

Hi, Simon...it's a good list. I guess the two that I listened to a lot were Meth Teeth and Nightingales (was that really this year? it seems like longer ago). I had the Casiotone (I loved Etiquette, BTW) and De Rosa but only listened a couple of times. I may have had Phantom Band at one point, maybe it's still in the bin...I should look for it. I liked the track on your mix.

There are just too many damned records out there. How can anyone keep up?
